Went to the pictures to see Nobody on Wednesday.
Nobody is an action packed movie that follows a family man in a mundane existence, and when his house is broken into and he refuses to strike one of the assailants, he looks weak in front of his family. The man however has a secret, and when he decides to defend a woman from thugs, a spark from his past ignites within him, which is a good thing, as one of the thugs he has just killed is the brother of a crazy Russian drug Lord, and he wants revenge.
The film stars Bob Odenkirk, Aleksey Serebryakov, Connie Nielsen, Christopher Lloyd, Michael Ironside, Colin Salmon, and RZA. There’s also small roles for Daniel Bernhardt and Alain Moussi.
The film was written by Derek Kolstad and directed by Ilya Naishuller.
It’s a madcap, and at times very violent, action movie with plenty of humour throughout, with a great performance from its lead, and a nice turn from Christopher Lloyd. Heaps of fun, 4 1/2 out of 5.
